Firstly TORA would like to welcome all the new members who have joined us recently, both newcomers and existing members who have been partaking in their first TORA races. Thanks for everyone getting involved, and especially next year when the 2012 series start, the competition is sure to heat up!
Starting the week off was the TORA MSA Abarth series in Germany. Hockenheimring saw some awesome racing, and and some risky racing, which ended up seeing Ianmr taking all three victories in the race. The series is now half way through, and sees Ianmr main rivals to be FranchittiFan and iZ GunDaM, who seem to be chasing Ianmr's tail, both in the championship standings and on the track! The highlights from the Hockenheimring meeting are up on TORA TV. Check out the action!
During TORAs time of random evening racing during early days of Forza Motorsport 4, one of the reoccurring races we've found ourselves doing is the super fast German DTM cars against Japanese SuperGT machinery, and the surprising realisation that the two types of car are very similar. After prompts from the community we announced the series, "Formula 500" (named by community member nickyf1). The four race series starts Thursday 3rd November, and you register for the series by clicking the link below.
Another bit of news from TORA HQ was the initial carlist for the TORA MSA GT specification cars has been announced. The list of cars you can expect to see in this series are linked below, with their respective PI limits and any other special requirements. The cars are standard sports and super cars, which have a Forza front and rear wing, race suspension and rollcage (where applicable) and race tyres. They have strict power and weight restrictions too which is going to keep the action very close so make sure you check these out too. The list is set to see its first competitive run at TORA's "N24" race, 24 gruelling laps around "Green Hell", Nurburgring Nordschliefe. There will be the chance for Forza Motorsport 4 DLC cars to be filtered into TORAs individual race series, so these carlists could expand more. For example, the Aston Martin Virage is something which will be tested in the upcoming week for the TORA MSA GT series. The TORA MSA GT cars will be running alongside TORA MSA ISCC specification GT2 cars as well as many other types of cars. More details of the TORA N24 will be coming soon, so keep an eye out for more info.
Finally to end the week, was the second meeting of the Ferrari 458 Challenge, which has literally just finished on the west coast of America, at Infineon Raceway. ATR DAN once again took the Ferrari by the neck to give an unstoppable performance, with Rollin InAn STi and CMGraphix chasing second spot. With two races to go, can anyone stop ATR DAN?
